Wanted to introduce Sarah, Mark, Carter, and Hayden MacDonald. Brooke and I met Sarah and Mark while living in Boston and working at New Balance and immediately struck up a friendship with them around our shared passion (or addiction) for skiing and mountain life. About 6 years ago they pulled the ripcord and made the move to Stowe and have been a source of inspiration to us ever since. I think Sarah and Mark were probably the only ones who really believed that all our talk of moving to Vermont wasn't just wishful thinking. They've made our first few weeks here in Stowe feel like we've lived here all our lives. I'm sure you'll see their faces and those of their amazing kids (who have developed a loving fascination with Sedona and might be starting a blog of their own about her called "What's She Doing Now?") on Green Mountain Kid quite often.
