Sedona woke up in a fit. I tried some playing and then went back in with the bottle. This time she nibbled a bit but it seemed more out of annoyance than anything else. The hunger strike continued. I could sense that she was hot so I took off her nightgown, changed her diaper and let her cry it out. She fell into a restless sleep, albeit a much cooler one. Again, leaving the bib on as a symbol of my commitment. Aunt Melanie lent us a book that has a great chapter about getting your baby to take the bottle. My favorite piece of advice from the chapter: "if you're baby isn't taking the bottle you're not trying hard enough." Words to live by. Deeper into the cave we ventured...
