The BIG One

A few weeks back we had a monster storm hit us out of nowhere, dumping 27" of snow in less than 12 hours. On top of the 2' base we already had it made for the type of conditions that dedicated skiers and snowboarders dream of: bottomless powder. Sedona couldn't stop staring out the window and neither could we. Since the plow didn't come till 3pm, I was forced to shovel two tire paths down our driveway just so we could get the car out. Including the front and back deck along with the driveway, it was a combined total (between Brooke and I) of about 3 hours of shoveling. Considering the thigh-deep powder that I found at the mountain, it was well worth it. We thought about taking Sedona sledding however, she would have disappeared beneath the snow never to be heard from again. March in Stowe. This is why we live here.

  1. That is marvelous snow cover! And a very smart move to take a pass on the no-sledding. Glad to read things are going well.
